Many My Kidz Early Learning Centre families have been asking about the upcoming Child Care Subsidy changes, particularly the new government guaranteed 3 Day CCS starting in January 2026. 1. Do I need to apply for the 3 Day CCS Guarantee?
For most families, no.
If you are already receiving Child Care Subsidy, the government guaranteed 3 Day CCS will be applied automatically by Services Australia, as long as you are eligible.
There is one important step to remember. You will need to confirm your 2024 to 2025 family income when Services Australia requests it.

2. My child already attends 3, 4 or 5 days. What does this mean for us?
If your child already attends multiple days, your Child Care Subsidy will not decrease.
The 3 Day CCS Guarantee simply provides greater stability and certainty, even if your work or study hours change in the future.
Your child keeps the same days, the same routine, and the same high quality My Kidz learning experience they know and love.
3. What if my child needs more than 3 days?
You absolutely can.
The 3 Day CCS Guarantee is the minimum number of subsidised days. If your family needs additional days, those extra days will continue to be subsidised based on your regular CCS percentage, just as they are now.
Families relying on a 4 or 5 day routine can continue without disruption.
4. Will this make childcare more affordable for our family?
For families currently receiving only one subsidised day per week, this change may make a meaningful difference.
For families already attending multiple days, the biggest benefit is certainty. This is especially valuable if work schedules change or you are planning ahead for 2026. The guarantee reduces the risk of unexpectedly losing subsidised days.
